Greetings Southwest Church Family!  We have missed seeing you!

Though many of us have been able to still receive a weekly message via Facebook Live, it is just not quite the same as us all joining together in God’s house to worship together.  It has been awhile since we have all seen each other, but we started back together again at church on Sunday, June 14th at 10:40am.

In order for us all to remain safe, we will have some specific guidelines that we all will need to follow if planning to attend in person at the church.  We are adapting the recommendations for the reopening phase of the county and state at this time.   We ask that each of you adhere to these guidelines to provide the safest environment for all individuals that may attend our services.  For those of you who may feel that these guidelines create difficulty for you or your situation, please be encouraged to attend our services on our Facebook page.  We appreciate all that you are doing to honor and protect all of our church family in attendance!

  • Those with compromised immune systems are encouraged to proceed cautiously and consider staying home and watching services online.
  • We will have a designated entrance (under the carport) and designated exit (out the main entrance doors (just outside of the sanctuary).
  • There will be hand sanitizer available at both entrance and exit locations. Please feel free to bring your own if available.  We are asking everyone to use sanitizer before entering and before exiting the church.
  • Facial masks will be required until further notice from Mayor Hogsett as Marion County is under a face covering mandate. Please feel free to wear one of your own masks.  There will be some available at the entrance as well, if you do not have one with you.
  • We will be practicing social distancing and will need to stand or sit at least six (6) feet apart from each other (unless you are with the same family/household).
  • Sanctuary pews will be marked off (every other) and you will not be able to sit in those marked off rows.
  • We ask that individuals sit six (6) feet apart from each other (unless you are within the same family/household). Families please sit at least 6 feet away from other families or individuals, also.
  • The church entrance door (under carport) will be open beginning 20 minutes before church.
  • There will be no Sunday School, Children’s Church, Staffed Nursery, Sunday Evening or Wednesday Evening Services at this time (with a prayer meeting on Wednesday, July 22nd at 6:30pm as the exception to this statement). Children will need to remain with parents/guardians during service.  The Unattended Nursery will be open for your use as needed.
  • Please avoid shaking hands or embracing.
  • Coffee will not be available.
  • Facilities will be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected prior to and in between worship services.
  • All offering envelopes, hymnals and Bibles have been removed from the pews.
  • There will be a designated location for your offerings and donations. Please note that we have your new tithing envelopes but will need to get those distributed to you safely as we are able to do so.
  • When worship service is concluded, people will be dismissed by rows and asked to leave the building at that time. This will aid us in preparing the building for the next scheduled event.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us at or by calling 317-856-3713.

We are looking forward to coming together and worshiping with our church family!  See you Sunday!
